US starts AD & CVD investigations on brass rod imports

On May 18, 2023, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced the launch of anti-dumping (AD) investigations on brass rod from Brazil, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and South Africa, and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on the same products from India, Israel, and South Korea.

The International Trade Commission (ITC) will make a preliminary determination of injury no later than June 12, 2023. If the ITC makes an affirmative ruling about substantial industrial injury or threat, the USDOC will continue the investigations and is scheduled to make a preliminary determination of CVD and AD by July 21, 2023 and October 4, 2023, respectively.

The products involved are under HTSUS subheadings 7407.21.1500, 7407.21.7000, and 7407.21.9000, and 7403.21.0000.
